When Laura Mackenzie disappeared on March 8, 2006, no one had any idea where she could be. There was no way of telling if there had been foul play or if she had run off willingly from her Goffstown, N.H., home. But now that police have recovered the 18-year-old girl working at a restaurant in St. Augustine, Florida, many of these questions are answered. Police say that Laura ran away after being upset over her grandmother's death and the deployment of her brother to Iraq. Unbeknownst to her family, she was also wanted in court that day on felony shoplifting charges for allegedly taking over $900 worth of merchandise from Filene's.
