BELOW IS A PARTIAL TRANSCRIPTION OF EXCERPTS FROM AN INTERVIEW CONDUCTED BY TODD PORTER OF THE CANTON REPOSITORY
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: You said that you spoke with Jessie Wednesday evening. Did you see Jessie at all Wednesday, Wednesday evening?
BOBBY: No I did not.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Do you believe Jessie will be found alive?
BOBBY: Hopefully she'll be found alive.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Bobby, did you have anything at all to do with the disappearance of Jessie?
BOBBY: No I did't.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Do you have an attorney?
BOBBY: Yes. Yes I do.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Have authorities given you any indication if you're a suspect?
BOBBY: I mean they continue to say that I'm not a suspect but I, I mean, I would be dumb and naive to think that they weren't treating me as a suspect by different things I've had to go through in the past couple days.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Have the, have any authorities told you that you've been cleared in this, in this investigation?
BOBBY: No they, they, they have not told me that I have been cleared but as like I said, on the media, I mean they said to the media that I, me nor my wife are suspects but uh, I don't feel that we've actually been treated as that was 100 percent true.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Have you watched much of the coverage? Is it difficult for you to watch the coverage, uh, the national coverage of this case?
BOBBY: Uh, I try not to watch it. I mean there's times where relatives of mine call and they're like, you have to turn this on and see this. I mean... It, like the people that are commenting on this stuff, they have no idea what's going on or they have mis information or parts of the facts and just, it's just rediculous. I mean they're doing this as, as news entertainment but it's not, it's terrible, it's crazy.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Bobby how have you coped during the last five days? How have you gotten through each day, day by day?
BOBBY: By my family, my friends calling, you know, stopping by. My Pastor praying with me daily. Things like that, you know, I, I can't, I'm not in a normal routine. I mean, I'm a coach, you know, I haven't been able to coach at all this week. I mean, I know that's not the most imporantant thing, it's not, but that's just one of the normal things I haven't been able to do.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: When you think of having a normal day, how far away do you think that is for you? How many days away from having a normal day do you think you are?
BOBBY: Honestly, I don't know. I have no idea what a normal days is even resembles right now.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: How well do you know Patty Porter and Jessie's sister, Whitney and Audrey?
BOBBY: I know them through my, you know, as being family member's of my son, you know, being Jessies' family members but I mean... I don't know like great detail about 'em.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Have you had much communications with them since Thursday?
BOBBY: Uh it's been, not since like since Friday's been you know limited contact, call and check and see how they're doing, see how my son's doing.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: How is Blake doing?
BOBBY: He's, he's, he's dealing with this as best as he can. You know, he's only two... I mean, he misses his mother.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Do you have a, did you have much of a chance to talk with Blake at all?
BOBBY: Uh, I spoke with spoke with him, I spoke with him a couple of times, tried to.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Um, just for the record and to clear this up, how many children do you have? Um...
BOBBY: Cur- currently I have three children.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: And expecting a fourth with Jessie, correct?
BOBBY: Possibly, yes.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Two with Jessie, uh, well one with Jessie, uh, one with Nikki, and then uh, one with Kelly, is that correct?
BOBBY: Correct.
CANTON REPOSITORY REPORTER TODD PORTER: Uh, how have uh, your co-workers and colleagues and, and supervisors at the Canton Police Department been throughout this process?
BOBBY: They've been very supportive. They told me they had my back in anything I need.
