»The Full Story
FBI agents are trying to identify and apprehend an unknown woman and man who they say are responsible for helping spread images of child pornography.
Police say their crimes first came to light in July 2006, during an investigation by the Dallas Police Department. A detective found an e-mail which contained attachments of photographs showing child pornography.
But that was only the beginning.
The obscene photographs were traced back to Kentucky, where more images of child pornography were found. Among these photographs, there were six images of a man, a woman, and an adolescent female.
The FBI has determined that these photographs are recent. Based on the 110 outlet shown in the pictures, they also believe the pictures were taken in the United States, Canada or Mexico.
Identical images were discovered in child pornography cases in Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota and Florida, according to authorities. FBI agents would like to answer two important questions: who are the people in these pictures, and where are they now?
They were known as John Doe #9 and Jane Doe #2. The FBI says the man and woman photographed themselves molesting a ten-year-old child and then shared the disgusting images with other perverts across the internet.
Police say their crimes first came to light in July 2006, during an investigation by the Dallas Police Department. A detective found an e-mail which contained attachments of the photographs featuring the anonymous couple.
Now the FBI has identified them as Paul and Myrtis Gauthreaux, but agents will never know what drove them to photograph themselves molesting the child. Just a few hours after they were profiled on Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, the Gauthreauxs wrote a suicide note in their Phoenix home, drove out to the desert and killed themselves. Agents believe Paul shot Myrtis first, then turned the gun on himself.
The child, who was not theirs, is not in any danger. The Gauthreauxs had moved from Louisiana to Arizona just two years prior.
FBI Agent Arnold Bell appeared on The O'Reilly Factor to discuss the Innocent Images National Initiative, a program which identifies and locates child pronographers and their victims. To date the Innocent Images Unit has rescued over thirty victims and identified twelve previously unknown subjects.
