In early January 2000, a police officer visited an Indiana third-grade classroom and gave an “Officer Friendly” presentation on child abuse. Immediately after the presentation, a young girl approached her teacher.
The girl told her teacher and the officer that she knew of some adults doing bad things to children; according to cops, those adults were Bradley and Luann Chase.
Later that same day, Luann and Bradley voluntarily went down to the police station where they were interrogated and eventually confessed, on tape, to the molestation that was taking place. Luann and Bradley were arrested, but posted bond and fled.
Evansville police are desperate to catch the Chases.
Luann Chase is known to work at daycare facilities and police are worried that she uses the facilities to look for new victims for herself and her husband.
Bradley “Butch” Chase has epilepsy, and has been out of work for many years. Police are worried about Bradley because he is a former mining industry demolition expert and should be considered dangerous.
Bradley put up a fight with officers throughout his arrest on the morning of October 12, 2008.

After eight years on the run, Bradley "Butch" and Luann Chase were taken into custody less than 12 hours after appearing on America's Most Wanted.
Cops say one of the Chases' neighbors called our hotline after seeing them on AMW on Oct. 11, 2008. Neighbors reported that the Chases, who were living under an alias, were running a home for disabled veterans in San Antonio, Texas.
Cops say the couple initially denied their true identity and gave cops false identification, but after Bradley resisted arrest, Luann told police that they had the right people in custody.
Bradley Chase was flown back to Indiana in early January where he plead guilty to one count of child molestation. He is expected to be sentenced to 38 years in prison in early August. Luann Chase is facing four counts of child molestation and is expected to go to trial later this summer.
