Richard Rupert has allegedly been scamming elderly people for decades.
Cops say Rupert can be seen in this surveillance still with the 92-year-old man he is accused of scamming out of almost $1,000. They say Rupert approached the victim in a Vancouver McDonald's restaurant on Oct. 23, 2010, and once again posed as a relative of the elderly.
Police say this image of Rupert with an elderly woman was taken from a Whitby, Ontario, bank surveillance video on Dec. 4, 2009.
The Burnaby RCMP recognized Richard Rupert after we aired his segment Sept. 25, 2010, from a case involving a theft from an elderly woman earlier that month. Rupert was captured on surveillance video at an ATM on Sept. 7, 2010, giving police an updated picture of the accused swindler.
