David Earl Burgert Jr.has three felony warrants out for his arrest, as a result of his alleged June 12, 2011 shootout with Missoula County Sheriff's deputies.
Flathead County Sheriff Jim DuPont seized a massive cache of firepower, ammunition, chemicals for composing bombs, body armor, survival gear, and military rations from Burgert's home after the exposure of Project 7 -- an anti-government militia formed by Burgert.
Burgert fled this jeep just before engaging in the June 12, 2011 shootout with Missoula County Sheriff deputies.
During search and seizure efforts after the exposure of Project 7, police discovered multiple campsites that Burgert had erected throughout Montana's National Forest--there may still be more out there.
Burgert has erected natural shelters throughout Montana's wilderness, which he has stocked with survival gear. Police believe he may have taken refuge somewhere in Montana's forest.
