Anthony Martinez murder Idaho Killer Linked To Another Child's Murder

While Joseph Duncan's sentencing hearing is underway in Idaho, authorities in Riverside, Calif. are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to have Duncan stand trial for the 1997 murder of 10-year-old Anthony Martinez. It wasn't until Duncan's arrest after the recovery of Shasta Groene, that cops had prints to match to little Anthony's killer. The Riverside DA's office filed murder charges against Duncan in 2007 and are seeking the death penalty.

On April 20, 1997 Anthony Martinez was found on Berdoo Canyon Road near Indio, California 90 miles away from his Beaumont home. He was found naked, his body bound with rope. Berdoo Canyon Road leads to the Joshua Tree National Memorial, 22 miles north of where Anthony's body was found.
