Missing seventeen-year-old Monica Rose Sharp has returned home to her mother in Richmond, VA safe and unharmed. Police say the girl had been missing for more than a month before returning home voluntarily. Just 24 hours later an anonymous tipster helped cops nab 57-year-old Jeffrey Nichols, the man police accuse of luring Sharp away from home.
Police believe Monica was in the company of 57-year-old Jeffery Nichols of Belleville, Ill., whom she apparently met on the Internet. Nichols was arrested on Tuesday, October 25 after an anonymous tipster spotted his car in an area Wal-Mart. Police have charged him with using a communications system to facilitate certain offenses involving children, which is a felony.
