After more than three months of searching, authorities in Canada have positively confirmed that they have found the body of missing child Tori Stafford. Tori's remains were discovered by Canadian investigators on July 19, 2009 in a wooded area near Mount Forest, Ontario -- roughly 35 minutes from Guelph which was the area police had been canvassing.
The remains were transported to a forensic center. Authorities say that the body had been exposed to the elements for weeks.
Tori, whose 9th birthday would have been on July 15, was last seen on April 8, 2009 near her school with a dark-haired woman. Canadian police arrested Terri-Lynne McClintic, the woman they believe abducted Tori and a male accomplice, Michael Rafferty. Both face kidnapping and murder charges.
