Recovered; Jun 23, 2007

Heartbreaking Discovery

There was heartbreak in Ohio as the body of Jessie Marie Davis was found. Jessie's body and fetal remains were discovered at Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Summit County, Ohio on June 23. The park is located 30 miles from Jessie's North Canton, Ohio residence. Jessie, a single mother, had been missing for ten days when her body was located. AMW sources have confirmed that Bobby Cutts, Jessie's boyfriend and the father of her 2-year-old son Blake, led police to the body. Cutts has been indicted on seven counts in Jessie's case, including aggravated murder. On June 24, Myisha Ferrell, a female friend of Cutts, was also arrested in connection with the case. She has been indicted on two counts including complicity in abuse of a corpse.

Story Captivated The Nation

Thousands of people helped law enforcement officials search for Jessie and her baby. The Red Cross and Texas Equusearch helped to coordinate the search in Canton, Ohio and the surrounding areas. Many local retailers donated refreshments for the volunteers. When officials called off the search on June 23, volunteers feared the worst and many broke down in tears when they heard a body had been found.
